School Project: Ideal Government

It is common knowledge that there are no ideals in the world as well as there are no ideal forms of government. However, democracy is considered to be a superior form of government nowadays. I cannot disagree with this point of view. Theory and practice don’t often coincide. Moreover, brilliant hypotheses seldom meet acknowledgement. Remember Sir Thomas More’s “Utopia”. Harmony between humanity and society reigns on some island called Utopia the name of which can be translated as the place that doesn’t exist. The metaphorical name of the island underlines the idea that the principles of a perfect political regime may find their reflection only on paper.
