Israeli Cats

It’s not a secret that a cat is one of the favourite mammal pets. However, there are still homeless fluffy creatures that have to survive in the streets of different countries.

There are plenty of cats in Israel. Unlike the other countries I have visited, there is a humanistic way of treating these animals there. Special services catch, vaccinate and sterilize the vagrant cats. Such cats have got a special mark: a tiny part of their ear is cut off. This operation doesn’t influence on the hearing ability of cats.

Israeli cats are often fed by fishermen and restaurants’ workers. So, don’t look into the cat’s eyes when you spend time in an outdoor café. Otherwise, this hobo would make you give a better half of your meal to it.

Certainly, there is always the flip side of the coin. The negative point of all cats is their smelly urine… Enjoying the view of the Mediterranean Sea, for example, you wouldn’t be lucky to breathe in a fresh breeze if you walk on the path where there are a lot of cats and bushes.

Cats may be a part of country’s spirit, though it might be less hygienic to keep them in such a great amount outdoors.
