Fortunately,
parents pay enough attention to the education of their children. That is why if
you walk in the central street of Roslavl named Proletarskaya Street you can
notice a big sign board ‘Британская Школа’. This is the very place where you can be taught to
speak English, German and French. Right, this is an educational centre of
foreign languages. The centre offers a various range of multilevel
courses including English for Business Studies and English for the Little Ones.
Friendly and competent staff, traditional and modern methods of teaching guarantee
the effectiveness and quality of lessons. It is interesting to mention, there
is also a service of logopedist (speech therapist), psychologist and preschool
teacher in the centre. Every year the managers organize trips to Europe, local
excursions and different children’s festivals. (For further information click

If you travel in spring or summer, visit a historical
place named ‘Burtseva Gora’. It is very lovely in green. The
hill is strictly connected with the beginning of the 877 year history of the
town. Unfortunately, intensive strives, the
Mongol-Tatar Yoke, civil and
liberation wars, the World War II undermined the economy and slowed down the cultural development of the whole nation
and of this town in particular. When Roslavl floated to the surface to breathe
in, some dark power made it dive into the depth of history again. Surprisingly
or not, but there are a lot of patriots among the local people of the town. They
might call it dirty or small, but believe me, this is not the worst town in the
world. You still have schools, hospitals, some factories, though it is harder
to find a well-paid job for an educated person, but it is life. Nobody is
satisfied with what he possesses.
